National Roads and Motorists Association (NRMA) is a unique organization based in Australia. It provides a wide range of services related to motoring under one roof – motor vehicle servicing and roadside assistance, car rental, accommodation and travel services, training and guidance regarding driving, research and public advocacy on transport-related issues, etc. It now operates under the name of NRMA Motoring & Services Ltd. NRMA’s insurance division has become an operating unit of the Insurance Australia Group.

National Roads and Motorists' Association (NRMA) offers a wide range of services related to motoring and travel. NRMA defines its single purpose as "To be there for our members when they need our help." It is a unique organization in Australia and it has the following principal activities

All these services are available to members in the New South Wales area and the Australian Capital Territory. Such services are available in other countries too, but through different companies; whereas, NRMA offers a wide diversity of services as a single entity. These services are offered by "NRMA Motoring & Services Ltd." In addition, there is another independent organization called "NRMA Insurance", which is now an operating unit of Insurance Australia Group. Though these two, i.e., "NRMA Motoring & Services" and "NRMA Insurance" are separate and independent, yet they agree and promote the same brand and name, i.e., NRMA, because previously they were one company National Roads and Motorists' Association Ltd.

NRMA was formerly known as "Australian National Roads Association" and was founded as far back as in 1920. The Association was formed with a simple intention to lobby for having better roads in New South Wales. During the period 1911 to 1919, construction of main roads and routes were given less priority, and hence the need was very much felt for such an Association to influence the local councils. In 1920, the then President of RACA (Royal Automobile Club of Australia) and the then Chairman of Roads and Tours Committee of RACA joined the National Roads Association's (NRA) committee. In 1924, NRA was changed into NRMA.
