The article presents three basic assumptions, supporting them with arguments and empirical research outcomes: Firstly, to prove that “values are integral part of individuals and organization and influence the overall behavior, actions and decision-making process of both”. Secondly, it identifies that “Value conflicts are a major source of organizational conflicts, hampering organizational efficiency and development”, which leads to resource wastage, emotional dissatisfaction and spiritual depletion in society at large. Thirdly, that by “integrating the Individual and Organizations’ values by forming a shared vision could unlock the organizational potential, enhance creative participation and lead to better decision-making and satisfaction.”

The capacity of the average human being for creativity, for growth, for collaboration, for productivity is far greater than has been recognized. This recognition can and will bring about a drastic change in the way future organizations will function.

In the back drop of the "big bank robbery" that has happened in the banks of this nation, the UTI scam, the recent arrest of Dilip Pandse, the famed financial controller of Tata group, and even, world class organizations like Enron Tyco Xerox Anderson, WorldCom and their employees in the whirl of allegations of fraud, we observe that the individual values have gone against organizationally stated values and hence ruined the organizational trust and brand.

On the other hand the organizations are becoming more and more powerful entities influencing the world and its functioning like never before. They have also become the main ground of human creativity and expression. And hence their significance to human society has become enormous. The values of organizations are today leading us to paths as disastrous as wars and social disasters, leave alone quality issues, accidents, human stress, frauds conflicts, injustice, resources exploitation, etc.
