Kochis Fitz/Quintile, under our current, temporary name formally came into existence on January 1, 2008 (more on our merger below). The two former companies had many similarities, but some important and strategically valuable differences. Kochis Fitz, with its office in San Francisco, began in 1991 as an outgrowth of the personal financial planning practice that Linda Fitz, co-founder and Wealth Manager and I had conducted at Deloitte and Touche.

But, even that was a continuation of the continuous professional practice that had been housed before Deloitte at Bank of America, and other organizations as early as 1973. Quintile Wealth Management began in early 2003 as the continuation of the Los Angeles office of MyCFO. But before their efforts at MyCFO, the founding principals and much of the staff of Quintile traced their professional roots to early careers in major US accounting firms.

Both firms have always been committed to providing completely unbiased and comprehensive financial advisory services to their clients and to provide world-class investment solutions to their clients on a thoroughly openarchitecture platform. Both firms have always been compensated exclusively by fees paid directly by clients, with no product commissions or proprietary revenue interests.
