After the advent of the Internet, the world has started witnessing e-revolution and
India, by no means, is behind any other country. India ranked
20th in terms of
number of observed IP addresses, with 2.6 million connections, according to a
study carried out by Akamai Technologies
It is true that the Internet is a ubiquitous tool that helps in reaching out to the
masses located anywhere in the world. Blogs and forums are the media that are being employed
in today's wired world by both entities and individuals not only to exchange information
but also to express their views publicly. The best feature of the Internet is the `anonymity' that
it provides. For an ordinary user, it means he is free to surf any website, read or post any
content without revealing his identity. Even the young are exposed to the Internet.
According to Wikipedia, an online encyclopaedia, a blog (a contraction of the term weblog)
is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of
commentary, descriptions of events, or other material, such as graphics or video. The term
`blogging' means maintaining or adding content to a blog.
