No longer are the IT companies just selling and developing software and hardware for computers, but are making their mark felt in the consumer electronics segment.As contentwhether it be photos, video, or musicmoves into the digital world, the perfect device for capturing, storing, manipulating, and distributing that content is the PC.

The writing on the wall is clear. With the PC market stagnantat least in the developed countriesthe IT companies are looking for other avenues of growth. Consumer Electronics (CE) is what they have identified. Companies like Intel, Dell, Apple and Hewlett-Packard are making their presence felt in the consumer-centric products.
