A combination of economic, democratic, social and political woes have affected the health of latin economies. The Argentine and Brazilian economic turmoil had a Domino effect on the adjoining countries. However, there are a few exceptions. Are there any lessons from these countries?.

Though many countries in the world are experiencing economic recession, the downturn is more protracted and deep in Latin America. Argentina being the cynosure of the crisis, had a ripple-affect on almost all the adjoining countries of the continent. The economic crises in Latin have no scope to exaggerate further. The economists have been searching for a reason to bring a trifle of smile on their faces but the search proved to be a fool's errand. The reason may be attributed to a multitude of problems. Ranging from politics to policies, ethics to economies of scale, the southern America had a series of bitter experiences in the recent past.

It demands a detailed analysis of each chunk of the whole of Latin to judge the reasons of the continent's state of being. Just like the wide range of reasons for the current state of Latin American economies, the solutions are wide and perhaps no generic solution can be arrived at, since the problems are being different for different economies in the region.
