Every job turns out to be a dream job, if one can live up to the expectations of the workplace. This article highlights various perceptions of a `dream job' and how one can excel in their work-life. We all should first answer the basic question whether we `live to work' or `work to live?'

Imagine yourself sitting in an in terview room and the inter viewer asks, "What is your idea of a Dream Job?" What would your answer be? Job aspirants have different dreams and missions, likes and dislikes. So, all of us have varied career plans. Dreams are beyond our control. Whatever we think on a day-to-day basis remains in our sub-conscious and super-conscious levels of mind. During our sleep, the thoughts get nurtured and these come as a flashback to our memory. This is what we term as `dreams'.

To analyze details we can say that we should be an expert in the work that we love to do. This means that we should have a certain core competency that enables us to outshine others. There are certain jobs that we master as we grow. The world enables us in adapting good and bad traits. Our motive should be to pick up the good ones and drop the ones that are not beneficial. Every work has its own limitations. A small-time worker in a coalmine risks his life under the soil and earns a living. On the other hand, the general manager of the coalmine earns his livelihood by managing all the mine workers. His work is to manage the operations by managing others. We should understand where we stand in the ladder of society. This hierarchy is also dependent on qualification, family background, exposure in terms of education and work life.
