By increasing productivity, creativity, and innovation at every level, artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing design processes and workflows. Through theoretical frameworks, real-world case studies, and useful applications, this paper investigates the incorporation of AI into ideation, development, and execution. AI helps in maximizing the use of resources and in automating monotonous daily tasks so that designers can concentrate on strategic and artistic elements. Real-time collaboration and feedback are made possible by AI-powered tools, thus promoting new design paradigms and increasing creative possibilities through generative design. The paper offers a summary of popular AI tools and platforms and looks at the use of AI in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) systems. It highlights the advantages, while addressing important issues, including data privacy and ethical dilemmas. The study provides insightful information on AI’s revolutionary potential in the design industry.
Traditional design processes are linear or iterative with various phases such as research, ideation, development and execution; they predominantly depend on human resource and physical effort.
