Description
With a rising population, waste generation will only increase in the future. The thinking should be to treat biowaste as a raw material to manufacture utility products.
India has the dubious distinction of being one of the world leaders as far as population growth is concerned. In fact, by 2050 India will overtake China as the world's most populous country. The bigger the population, the more the quantity of waste produced. With increasing numbers, the optimum management of waste, both biodegradable and industrial, is of national importance. With million Indians being born every year, the government must have a sharp focus on tackling the waste problem as it is linked directly to pollution levels which have risen alarmingly over the last decade. Recycling is, therefore, the best way to utilize waste effectively and to reduce pollution.
