Mentoring plays a very important role in the making of a successful management graduate.

Twenty-two odd papers; 24 months; two-three months industrial training; four semesters; a few workshops and seminars; a few industrial visits; and an MBA is ready for a flying start in the corporate world. Is it so easy? It's easier said than done and at the end it's a big question mark. What is that you have and the other guy really doesn't possess? A long silence follows: The answer comes, "Sir, I have spent last two years learning about how work is done in an organization, how strategies are made and we are also exposed to decision-making and analytical skills required to undertake job responsibilities in organization like yours." Are you convinced with this answer? But certainly, I am not. For reason best known to every interviewer. Still confused? Let me explain; you can check through his answer the alertness of his mind and preparedness to answer the question. What about practical exposure? Does he possess the skills to be a go-getter? Does he possess skills to start from the scratch? And above all it is not his fault. Don't blame his lack of experience. He probably hasn't been groomed that way in the two years of his stay in that management institute.

Nowadays, an MBA degree or a diploma is a prerequisite for getting a good job and the reason every management student should know. Every institute and student should know what qualities an employer seeks from any management student.
