High-quality interpersonal skills of managers and employees have become the building block for any organization to grow these days. The skill to build and maintain long lasting relationships with others has become the prime purpose of every organization and to cater for this, organizations always remain in search of people with good communication skills, interpersonal skills, team building and problem-solving abilities. It is a fact that the persona of a person is vastly enriched after imbibing these qualities. This paper discusses the role of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) in the development of personality that ensures success in personal as well as in professional life.

I think the more you want to become more and more creative you have to not only elicit other peoples' (plural) strategies and replicate them yourself, but also modify others' strategies and have a strategy that creates new creativity strategies based on as many wonderful states as you can design for yourself. Therefore, in a way, the entire field of NLP is a creative tool, because I wanted to create something new.

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) came into existence in 1976 at University of California, USA, by two researchers Richard Bandler and John Grinder. NLP, rather than being a theory, is a collection of tools, which is highly hardnosed for understanding the behavior, and thought processes of people that make them effective. It has been described as "the study of human excellence", "the new technology of achievement", and "the difference that makes a difference" (Andreas and Faulkner, 1994). One of the most useful ways to define NLP is as `a term used to refer to a range of ideas and techniques that relate to how we communicate with each other and with ourselves' (Brown and Turnbull, 2000).

NLP is also called as `the study of the structure of subjective experiences', which means knowing and understanding what happens in our minds. When we encounter the real world, there develops some strategies to respond to it and NLP helps in recognizing the situations and developing the most appropriate strategies. NLP also demonstrate how one's thoughts, actions and feelings work together in order to exhibit the most appropriate behavior at any point of time.
