In today's business environment, it is the performance management system that triggers the organization's high performance work culture and aligns organizational values with employees' aspirations. In a manufacturing industry, the impact of external environment is high, and therefore, it is interesting to study the complexities involved in institutionalizing the performance management system. In this context, an attempt is made to study the complexities in the existing performance management system at RK Fertilizers Company (Performance Management by Michael Armstrong). After analyzing the loopholes in the system, a restructured system has been suggested namely, "Performance Enhancement System," that highlights the development of performance at an individual level and also gives inputs to pay for performance, promotions and career planning. |
