The initiative taken by the top management is proving to be successful and is well taken by the employees. The developmental program is planned to be completed in year 2005, which will be marked by the successful intervention in the Technology. The change affects different departments differently because of the various sub-cultures existing in the respective departments. Schemes like Voluntary Retirement Scheme have been successful. Management has employed the methods like Quarantine Transfers to achieve the proper rightsizing target. A cultural shift is observed after the change program which faced resistance, but not a serious one because implementing the program was like striking the iron when hot i.e., at an appropriate time when the Government of India declared disinvestment of the organization into a private sector.
