Author Guidelines

  • The paper should be typed in MS Word.
  • Title of the paper should be followed by name, e-mail and affiliation of author(s).
  • The paper should be accompanied with a declaration to the effect that it is the original work of the author(s) and has not been submitted for publication anywhere else.
  • In case of papers presented/submitted in a conference/seminar, details must be clearly mentioned, and the author should specify with whom the copyright rests.
  • It is the responsibility of the authors to obtain permission for reproduction of figures, tables etc., from published sources.
  • The authors should adhere to the ethical standards — as described in our website
    https://www.iupindia.in/publication-ethics.asp — while submitting the paper.
  • Authors should submit a copyright declaration form along with the manuscript.
  • Categories of Manuscripts:
    1. Research Paper: Must have an abstract of not more than 120 words followed by five keywords. Should start with an introduction followed by literature review, methodology, results and discussion and end with a conclusion summarizing the findings of the paper. Tables and figures should be numbered serially and appear in the document near/after where they are referred in the text. Avoid the use of overly small type in tables. In no case should tables or figures be in a separate document or file.
    2. Research Note: It starts with introduction followed by methodology, results and ends with conclusion/discussion, with no subheads.
    3. Book Review: It should present the summary of the contents of the book not exceeding 2 typeset pages. Must also provide the book details along with a few lines about the author and an image of the book's cover page.
  • References

Authors of the research papers/research notes must provide complete list of references cited in the text. References should appear in the text as: Foucault (1977) describes ... ... , and the list of all the references must be placed alphabetically at the end of the manuscript in the APA style:

  • All papers are first assessed by the Editor-in-Chief and if found unsuitable, in terms of the overall requirements of the journal, will be returned to the author. The others will be processed through a double-blind referral system by experts in the subject areas. The authors will be informed about acceptance/need for revision/rejection of the paper. To ensure anonymity, the author’s name, designation and other details should appear only on the first page along with the title of the paper and should not be repeated anywhere else.
